Week 10 (End): The Floppy Flopper Returns

We've been working on a way to perfect the crane over the week and i think we found the final form of the crane. Nate is still on solid works and he's working diligently  trying to finish the robot. Alejandro and I keep forgetting to bring straws for the tetrahedron but we'll bring them eventually. i believe the challenge will be a breeze if we ever get that tetrahedron

Week 10 (Beginning):The Floppy Flopper

The beginning of Week 10... A full 10 weeks have been put into this project and its really paying off! The robot in Solidworks has been completed and the Floppy Flopper (Crane) has been programmed; and started on the 3rd Challenge. With these completed we can definitely speed up the progress of building our robot. For this week we hope for hard work and determination to finish up the 3rd challenge.

Week 9 (End): Wot N Tarnation

we have been working on the claw for about a week now and we're practically done. i think it'll be a challenge to program the robot to move the claw. we've looked at other teams robots and we got different ideas of how we should make it.

Week 9 (Beginning): Challenge🌳 Accepted🌳

It's the beginning of week nine and our claw is in working progress. Alejandro and Andrew are in charge of finding the proper parts in order for the claw to move. while they are working on that Nate and I continue to work on Solidworks and editing our blog. Once everything is in place we can continue to squash the other teams at challenge three and move on to challenge four.

Week 8 (End): The Claw that will rule them all

This week we have started making the Claw for Challenge number 3. For this Challenge we have to put 3 triangles on a stand to score 100 points. In Solidworks we have gotten the Chassis going and on the actual robot we are still perfecting our claw. We hope for continued hard work and a strong work ethic and hopefully a finished claw.

Week 8 (Beginning): Challenge 2

This week were trying to program our robot to circle around 2 chairs 3 times but were having technical difficulties due to the fact that robots wont do the same thing twice. Our robot is continuing to go around the chairs once and then run straight into them. Another issue we had was the batteries had been empty due to the fact that no one thought to charge them... On the upside Nate has been working on building the robot through solid works and it's really starting to come together. No one ever said building a robot was going to be easy but its allot more fun with a team to work with.

Week 7 (End)

We are at the end of week 7 and we are finishing up a few things. We are trying to finish challenge two of doing three laps around two chairs. Once we figure out the perfect timing we will be able to do three complete laps. While we are working on the programming Nate is finishing up building the robot on solid works. Nate has to take in great detail of what the robot looks like and where all the parts are placed.

Week 7 (Beginning)

This week we are Programming our robot so we can finally begin to move it around and see how it all works. We are using VEX to program our robot and to pair our controller. Once they are paired we can then find any flaws and work on fixing them. We have to keep an eye on our gears and how well our wheels move. Once we determine if we need to fix anything or have fixed everything we can then begin our challenges and determine how well it moves.

Week 6 (End): Moving Around

It's end of Week 6 and we keep powering through the building process. We have gotten the chassis and the wheels done. So all we need is to actually finish the Squarebot and start on the Challenges. But for now we have tested the motors and are just fixing up any issues we see in the robot. We have completed most of our goals this week but we hope to continue the work ethic of the past week.
